 A brief overview…

The origins of this meeting hall date back to the early 1860’s starting in private residence of W.C.Baynes, Secretary-Bursar of McGill University. As numbers grew in the following years various halls were rented including Nordheimers Hall, the Long Room, St. Georges Hall, and the Natural History Hall (1880-1910). In 1910 the assembly began meeting at 2025 City Councillors Street in downtown Montreal until 1953 when the building at 5375 Place Newman was constructed. The Christians meeting in the present building associate with Christian gatherings and individuals serving the Lord’s work in many countries around the world.
