GOD, HIS CREATION & HIS WORD
WHAT WE BELIEVE WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS
God “is”: There is only one true God, who has always lived and will always live, in Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All three are equally God. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19)
Creation: The entire universe, including planet Earth and every person and thing in it, was created by God in total perfection. “God created man in His own image, …male and female created He them.” (Genesis 1:27) “All things were created by Him (God), and for Him.” (Colossians 1:16)
The Bible: God’s Word, the Bible, is totally inspired by Him, and is His way of communicating His thoughts and purposes to all men, women, boys and girls. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God.” (II Timothy 3:16) “Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (II Peter 1:21)

GOD’S SALVATION
Guilty as charged: The Bible tells us that everyone has sinned against God, and this has separated them from Him. It puts everyone under the sentence of death, and after that, eternal punishment. “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) “The wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23) “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement.” (Hebrews 9:27)
The only Saviour: But God is love, and He has sent His Son from Heaven, born as a baby named Jesus, to save everyone who believes in Him, from eternal punishment. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
Jesus is God, therefore sinless: Even after His birth as a man, Jesus was still God, and at the same time a man in total perfection without sin. “Christ …did no sin.” (l Peter 2:21,22) “He …knew no sin.” (ll Corinthians 5:21) “In Him is no sin.” (I John 3:5)
The Saviour rejected: When He began to tell people who He was and why He had come, He was generally rejected. Although perfectly innocent, He was eventually condemned to die on the cross. “Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” (l Timothy 1:15) “But they cried out: Away with Him, crucify Him.” (John 19:15)
Life out of death: God’s love has never changed, and, while Jesus was on the cross, He took the punishment of God for our sin. The giving up of His life in death, and the shedding of His blood, was the only sacrifice acceptable to God for our sin. “Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live.” (I Peter 2: 24) “The blood of Jesus Christ …cleanseth us from all sin.” (l John 1;7)”
Resurrection: Jesus, the eternal Son of God, rose from the dead by the power of God, and later returned to Heaven as a resurrected man. “God hath raised Him (Jesus) from the dead. (Romans 10:9) “It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, Who is even at the right hand of God.” (Romans 8:34)
It’s personal: Everyone who believes that Jesus died on the cross for their sins and confesses Jesus as their own Lord and Saviour, immediately receives total forgiveness of their sins and eternal life. “Whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:15) “Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
Eternal security: Once a person has been saved by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, they can never lose that salvation. “I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish.” (John 10:28)
Christ is coming at the rapture: Jesus has promised that He will come again and take all believers back to Heaven with Him. “The Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, …and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (l Thessalonians 4:16-17)
Judgement of non-believers: Everyone who has heard and refused Jesus as Saviour, will face certain punishment for their own sins, forever. God offers no other alternative but Jesus. “He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:18)

GOD’S CHURCH
His church is all true believers in Jesus: While Jesus was here, He said He would build His church. All believers are baptized by the Holy Spirit into One Body, that is, His church. God recognizes only that one church, and sees all believers as members of it. “I will build my church.” (Matthew 16:18) “…the church, which is His body.” (Ephesians 1:22,23) “By one Spirit are we all baptized into one body.” (I Corinthians 12:13)
Jesus is Head over His church: God has appointed the Lord Jesus Christ Himself as the Head over His church. Therefore Jesus is the only authority for all actions done in it. “The God of our Lord Jesus Christ … gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body.” (Ephesians 1:17,22,23) “…That in all things He might have the pre-eminence.” (Colossians 1:18)
An invitation to His Table: In I Corinthians 10:21, the Spirit of God refers to “the Lord’s Table”. The Lord Jesus has invited every believer to join Him there in the Lord’s Supper, to remember Him in His death for us. “And He took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave unto them saying: This is My body which is given for you; this do in remembrance of Me. Likewise also the cup after supper saying: This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.” (Luke 22:19-20)
The center of gathering: Every believer who truly desires to be at His Table will be gathered there by the Spirit of God, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ alone. We believe that this is where He has brought us. The Lord’s Table does not belong to any group of Christians. It belongs to the Lord Jesus Himself, and He has prepared a place for every true believer at it. “And they said unto Him: Where wilt thou that we prepare?” (Luke 22:9) “Where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20) “That …He might gather together in one all things in Christ.” (Ephesians 1:10)
Care in receiving: Believers already at the Lord’s Table need to be aware that they are in the holy presence of the Son of God. When a believer comes seeking to take their place there, great care must be taken before receiving them. Therefore, it is desirable to allow time to become acquainted with each other. The underlying purpose is to be sure that no dishonour would be brought to the Lord Jesus Christ at His Table. “The first day of the week, …where the disciples were assembled …, came Jesus and stood in the midst.” (John 20:19) “And when they saw Him, they worshipped Him.” (Matthew 28:17) “Lay hands suddenly on no man.” (I Timothy 5:22)
The leading of the Holy Spirit: Whenever believers are gathered together in the name of the Lord Jesus at His Table, whether for worship, or for prayer, or for edification, all such meetings should be directed by the Holy Spirit, as expressed through those whom He chooses for the occasion. “To one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom: to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit: …to another prophecy; …But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He (the Spirit) will.” (l Corinthians 12:8,10,11)
